Best with
Rich GPX files
Tracks with timestamps and elevation make the replay immediately stronger.
Open TrailReplay and upload one of the sample races or your own GPX, KML or FIT file.
Review the journey order in the sidebar and add transport segments if needed.
Customize map style, camera, stats, icons, and media timing.
Play through the route to validate pacing and picture timing.
Open Export, preview the crop, and record the final video.
They stress the exact parts of TrailReplay that matter most in a first serious preview.
Trail ultra
Great for testing elevation, cinematic camera, and stats framing on a demanding mountain course.
Bikepacking / MTB
Perfect for long-distance pacing, map styling, and export previews with dense route storytelling.
Use Camins d'Her for
terrain contrast, steeper camera moves, and checking whether the stats/export crop feel balanced on a mountain course.
Use Pedals de Foc for
long pacing, route overview, and validating how a denser endurance GPX reads in replay and export mode.
These examples were recorded with the TrailReplay export flow.
A full route replay with live stats, elevation, and export-ready framing.
Download path export demoTwo GPX files replayed together to compare pace, route choices, and timing.
Download comparison mode demoA square route replay showing named places and route annotations across the Aran by UTMB course.
Download Aran by UTMB demoLoad one or many GPX, KML or FIT files, reorder them, and build a single narrative from separate activities.
Drop several files at once and the ones recorded together — same time window, or failing that the same route — are grouped automatically, so everyone runs in one replay. With timestamps each marker sits where that person actually was at that moment; a file without them shows its route but no moving marker, since nothing can say where it was when. Use Strava’s “Export Original” (.fit) when a GPX has no times. Ungroup any track to put it back on the timeline.
Attach images to moments in the track, review their timing, and keep them visible in video exports.
Switch between map styles, terrain overlays, labels, and cinematic follow camera presets.
Export 16:9, 1:1, or 9:16 videos with stats, elevation profile, and branded overlays.
Add transport segments, control durations, and shape the replay so the story matches the real trip.
1. Import
Use one of the sample GPX files if you only want to learn the interface first.
2. Style
Open Style, Media, and Settings to shape the replay before you record anything.
3. Export
Preview the crop frame in Export so the stats and media stay inside the recorded area.
