Summary
- GPX files are processed locally in your browser by default.
- We do not upload GPX files to our servers.
- Map tiles are requested directly from third‑party map providers.
- Optional feedback and Studio delivery messages are sent through our email providers.
- Google Analytics helps us understand product usage and completed imports and exports.
- Studio delivery uploads the finished video—not your GPX source—to private temporary storage.
Data We Process
- GPX files: parsed locally in your browser for visualization and export.
- Usage preferences: stored in local storage (e.g., UI state, feedback prompts).
- Feedback submissions: if you send feedback, we process your message and optional email address to reply.
- Analytics: page context, broad device information, product actions, and performance metrics. We do not send GPX contents, route names, filenames, feedback text, or email addresses to Analytics.
- Studio delivery: if selected, we process your email address, finished MP4, render settings, country, and IP address to store and deliver the video, protect the service from abuse, and record your optional marketing choice.
Third‑Party Services
- Map tile providers: Esri (World Imagery/Wayback), OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap, Carto, OpenSnowMap, USGS, and OpenTopography. Your browser requests tiles directly from these services, which may receive your IP address.
- Storage and email delivery: Cloudflare stores Studio videos and delivery records and sends transactional email; Resend remains a fallback email provider.
- Product analytics: Google Analytics 4 processes usage events so we can improve TrailReplay and measure whether imports and exports succeed.
Your Choices
- You can use TrailReplay without uploading any files.
- You can use Standard export or avoid feedback if you prefer not to share contact information or upload a finished video.
- You can clear local storage in your browser to reset preferences.
- You can use browser privacy controls or content blockers to limit analytics cookies and requests.
- Marketing updates are optional, require email confirmation, and include an unsubscribe link.
